Photoshop Assignment # 1 Q2- Slates
What is a SLATE? A slate is a personal identification for you the student. This "slate" will appear before all of your animations to identify the animation as
yours. This is how I will grade your work.
Slate Project
• Your slate will have specific information about you and your project.
• Your slate is a chance for you to express your creativity and personal style.
• Make your slate personal; use colors that appeal to you and designs that express how you feel and who you are.
*YOU MUST SAVE EACH SLATE AS A PSD (SAVE AS PHOTOSHOP)
The requirements for this project are as follows:
1- In Photoshop create 5 separate designs for your personal slate (must be 5 different designs and ideas)
2- Each slate MUST be 1920 X 1080 pixels in size (this is screen size for full resolution) Use full HD under screen if you are using Photopea (see image below)

b. Project name (this project is the SLATE project)

d. School Name (Hayward Twin Oaks)
e. Name of class (Digital Media)
f. Instructors name (Ms. G. or Ms. Goldman)
***(the date and project name will change with each project- make sure these are separate layers).

4. Organization of your materials / assets is essential to a successful project.
• Make sure the elements (text, images, design etc.) do not 'compete' with each other.
• We will be discussing which elements are the most important and why (YOUR name and the Project Name).
• Make sure the most important elements are not overshadowed by the design or other elements.
5. You will be graded on the following:
1- How you have used the design principles in your work.
2.-Following the assignment criteria
3- Having ALL your work done on time when it is due.
